NYCaresIf you want to do good but can’t commit to a regular volunteer program because travel makes your schedule sporadic, New York Cares may be for you. The organization lets New Yorkers help other New Yorkers by allowing members to sign up for everything from a “Day of Service” where you can help clean up a city park or serve meals to the homeless at a food drive, to short-term projects such as reading to kids in schools or walking dogs from animal shelters.

Do you know of any volunteer programs that work for people who are often on the road? We’d love to hear about them!
