The Lost Girls Travel Beauty Awards

You don’t want to have to carry an arsenal of beauty products to look chic when you’re on the road. Still, it feels good to slather on your favorite lotion when dry airplane air leaves your skin feeling like an alligator’s, or to swipe on peachy blush when your face looks drawn from jet lag. And it’s fine to go without lipstick for a few days, but when we were living out of a backpack for a year the miniature contents in our cosmetics bags made us feel pretty even when we had only four outfits to choose from.

Now, we’re rolling out the first-ever Lost Girls Travel Beauty Awards. We’ll be testing the products that make you feel pretty and are convenient enough to tote around. Which cult products would you never leave home without? Whether you have an eyeshadow kit that’s ultra light, or sunscreen that doubles as a moisturizer, or a hair dryer that’s both powerful but small enough to fit in your carry-on, we want to know! Tell us and we’ll consider them for the awards.

This is a great idea. I can't wait to read the result and try them out. I always over pack on cosmetics and never us everything I bring.

Eucerin moisturizer. It's not greasy (give it five minutes to dry) and it calms rosacea, which always pops up when I (1)fly, (2)sweat, (3)eat spicy foods, (4)exist.

I can't live without my beauty products and when I backpacked through New Zealand and Brazil last year, I was never without my Rosebud Salve. It's super moisturizing on everything from my feet to my face to my sun fried split ends. It also adds the perfect glow to my eyes, lips and cheeks when I'm exploring sans make-up.
