Okay, time for us to geek out a little bit. Jen, Holly and I (not to mention  the entire Lost Girls team) are beyond excited for the release of Eat, Pray, Love, which hits theaters at midnight tonight.  Jen and I have plans to ditch work a teensy bit early tomorrow in order to go see it, and I just know that it’s going to bring back some major memories of our own round-the-world journey, completed just over three years ago. Truly, we can’t believe its been that long since we returned to the “real world” here in New York City and restart our lives…and write a book of our own!

This morning, Jen and I visited the hosts of Fox’s Good Day New York to share why we originally decided to take off (it was before we’d ever read EPL!) and to share why others shouldn’t be afraid to make a similar leap. Here’s a clip of that segment, and few more fun pieces of news below…

In other LG news…

♥  Earlier this week, I  sat down with Redbook.com’s Monique Valeris to share what Jen, Holly and I learned by pushing the pause button on our lives for an entire year. “How Three Friends Quit their Jobs and Traveled the Globe.”

♥ We’re too flattered! Go Nomad’s Ariel Newman suggests we might have prompted a travel trend  in her piece “The Lost Girl Phenomenon: Finding a Cure for the Quarter-Life Crisis.” We also love that Dr. Ramani Durvasula, a clinical psychologist and professor at California State University-Los Angeles, believe that the “quarter life crisis”  may not by a crisis at all; but more of a period of growth.

♥ And international news…The Lost Girls has been released in Italy! We came across a bit of coverage for the book in the Italian Marie Claire magazine. The book will also be sold in Brazil, Taiwan, China and Poland later this year or in early 2011
