In order to live of writing articles on hotels and travel destinations you will need to live in india or thailand or some other place where a US dollars will actually put some food on the table since it is very low paying. Often the articles buyers will only cover plane and hotel fees.. But thanks for the links thoug!

I’d be wary of publishing with Gonomad. I’ve had two articles published and I was only paid for one. Now, I am happy simply to be accepted and have my article up on an independent site but since their own submission guidelines state that published articles will receive payment then I really think they should follow the rules that they themselves set. More to the point, although you may receive a peremptory email regarding your accepted submission you will never receive the courtesy of a reply to your own emails. For example, months ago I had two emails from “interns” telling me that my articles were selected for publication in an ebook and would I like a voucher to download my own free copy of the book? Well, yes, obviously. To date I have not had a reply from either the interns or the editor regarding these ebooks, in spite of the fact that they contacted me! I have given up on Gonomad as a reliable website. The courtesy of the editor and his employees leaves much to be desired.
