Universal Turkey Day Menu
Thanksgiving is one of those wonderful foodie American holidays that I often wish the entire world would celebrate. As ridiculous as it may seem to suggest such a thing, there are just so many new traditions to be made. And so, I’ve compiled a list of festive holiday favorites with an international twist. Enjoy the holiday, no
matter where you may be:
- A Versatile Bird
- Butternut Squash Tempura
- La Bomba
- Smashed Pumpkins
- Les Haricots Verts
- Classic American Pie
- Spicy Cauliflower with Sesame
Giving Thanks
For many in the United States, Thanksgiving and the holiday season that follows is as much a time to give back as it is to indulge at the table. This year, take the time to learn more about the hunger throughout the country (Read the Washington Post’s 5 Myths about Hunger in America) and beyond, and then do your part to eliminate it. Whether you volunteer at a local soup kitchen or donate to the UN’s World Food Programme your charitable investment is bound to give you that warm and happy feeling without the turkey hangover.
For the rest of the loved ones in your life, how about a giving them something they can really chew on? The adorable Angela at Oh She Glows has created some of the most delicious (and economical) gifts I’ve seen in a while: Blondies, complete with recipe cards and packaging tips. And for all of your favorite chefs, Savory TV has a list of not one, not two, but 7 Gift Ideas. Dig in and enjoy!
